Endowment Gift
Pat and Shelly are from Lexington and have been married for about ten years. They both had difficult lives as youngsters and want to do something to support children who have extraordinary challenges as they did. They have been giving to Boys Home since they married and want to make certain the charity's programs continued even after they were gone.
Pat:
We know how important Boys Home's work is. We hoped to register our
commitment and support by making a gift that would last well into the
future.
Shelly:
A staff member at Boys Home asked us to consider making an endowment gift
for scholarships. We learned that the endowment was a fund that served as a
permanent source of income for Boys Home's needs, including scholarships
for boys who need assistance.
Pat:
I liked that giving for scholarships provides help to those who probably
would not be at Boys Home without that help. I wish I would have had a Boys
Home when I was growing up.
Shelly:
I also felt that the gift would provide a legacy for us. We were both
thrilled that our gift would keep on giving to an important cause we love.
